Jessica and Mike originally met in high school, but their friendship didn’t blossom into a full-blown romance until several months after they finished year 12.
Mike surprised Jessica with a romantic proposal while holidaying in Bali. After enjoying dinner together at their hotel’s rooftop restaurant, the couple were lazing by the pool under twinkling fairy lights when Mike got down on one knee next to the balcony, and popped the question in what Jessica describes as a surreal moment.
In the early days of their wedding planning, Jessica and Mike were looking at elegant, classic styling, but after doing some research, they quickly discovered that a more relaxed theme was more their style. They went for a classic black and white colour scheme, which was accented with faux pink peonies.

Their wedding menu was made up of simple, yet hearty cuisine that perfectly suited their laid-back event and went down a treat with their guests.
The main menu consisted of Prestige Catering’s spit roast buffet with lamb and beef, German potato salad and cheesy cauliflower, while they served hot platters of meatballs, chicken wings and spring rolls as their canapés.
